ringroad clinic

The Jones & Ring Road community VCT and Health Project was opened in May 2008, to serve others, provide hope and produce value in the Nyalenda slum area of Kisumu. The clinic is open five days a week and operates from 8:00am until 5:00pm; and is open from 8:00am to 12:30pm on Saturdays. The clinic staff serves between 60 to 100 people every day. The clinic's mission is to raise a healthy Christian family socially and economically through salvation , medical support and education.

The clinic has a 15 member staff that serve in different capacities including: Director, Clinical Officer, Nurses, Pharmaceuticals, Laboratory, Reception, Community Health Workers and VCT (Voluntary Counseling and Testing) counselors. The services we offer to the community range from: clinical examinations and consultations, voluntary counseling and testing, laboratory testing (for HIV, malaria, tuberculosis, typhoid ), home-based care and household visits and supplying pharmaceutical and medical supplies for different ailments. Christian counseling is always a component to any medical service we offer.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life among the neighboring slum community called Nyalenda. We want to offer support to local families in order to promote a healthy Christian family with an improved livelihood and improved moral values. All of this we do in the name of Jesus Christ.
