Ringroad Ministries has recently started a computer school to help prepare some of our older students to work in a business setting. The school is for students who are 18 years and older, most of them recent graduates of the Ringroad Day School. The students will learn to use computers to make themselves valuable in the business marketplace in and around Kisumu. These young men and women are learning to use computers in ethical ways and to how to be Christian employes and future leaders. All of these students need sponsors to cover the costs of the monthly tuition and fees. Tuition will be $35 a month and will cover four hours of instruction each day in computer and technical skills, in addition to a Bible study each day. 

The computer program is divided into four terms: Desktop Publishing, Digital Graphics, Digital Audio & Video, and Computer Maintenence & Repair. Students will be instructed by Dino Okech and will be working on one of the school's 15 laptops. Laptops are furnished for all of the students during class. Students will have access to the internet via a newly installed 3G WiFi hotspot at Ringroad. This puts the Ringroad Computer School among the top schools in the area. 

We have had several people in the US who've donated their own laptops for us to use in the computer school. We are still in need of several more laptops for our students to use. We would be very happy to receive more new or gently used laptops to put in our computer lab. We have friends in the US who have volunteered to accept your donated laptops, help set them up for use in our school, and assist with transporting them to Kisumu, Kenya.
