Lakeside orphanage

Lakeside Orphanage is home to 60 young boys and girls who have no other place to stay. They have lost their parents or extended family through disease, death or extremely difficult circumstances brought on by poverty. These boys and girls, as young as five years, are welcomed into the orphanage and provided with a safe place to stay, warm food to eat and caring adults to bring security, hope and purpose to their lives. During the day, they are able to go to school, which would not otherwise be possible. They are eager learners and thankful for the blessings they have.

Our history

The history of the Ringroad Ministry can be traced back to 1997.  Just like Christ loved the world, a few young men took it upon themselves, with very little resources at all, to feed the orphaned children of Kisumu.
They didn't know whether or not their project would succeed, but they prayed continuously that that their plans would be guided by the almighty Father. Through all their challenges and daily struggles, they believed that God was on their side. James 1:27 became their mission.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

All of the children at Lakeside Orphanage receive sponsorships through the Christian Relief Fund. We are always looking for sponsors for our newest students. Sponsorship of a student is only $35 a month and covers the cost of housing, meals, clothes and school fees. If you are interested in sponsoring an orphan at Lakeside, please contact CRF.
